There’s so much invisible labor in running a web design business

The design process alone has multiple layers, each with its own timeline. From client calls to strategy, planning, and concepting, through to design and the website build. Then there are revisions, handover, support… the list goes on and on.

But these are the obvious parts. We all know what it takes to deliver a great result for our clients.

Then there’s the “invisible” work, the things you didn’t realize came with running a business. Marketing consistency, sales calls, emails, never-ending admin, blogging, emails again, scaling plans, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4… social media content, more emails, client requests, inquiries, website updates, templates, client hubs… emails, emails, emails.

Running a business is not for the faint-hearted!

I get it, designing is your happy place

That’s why we fell in love with this work! It’s rewarding and meaningful. But it’s also the part that consumes the majority of your time and energy.

The good news is that it’s a task that can be handed off easily and smoothly.

Because your real magic is your strategic brain, no doubt!

Those sales you helped convert, the bookings that keep rolling in for your clients, and the problem-solving skills they admire, that’s why they return and rave.

These are the parts of your business that no one can replace. Your footprint is all over them, the value you bring is what keeps you booked out.

Design brief & documentation

We’ll go through your client’s assets: colors, copy, images. This includes your vision, design styles, and references. You can hand over this process to me or start your own based on your client’s needs.

01

Squarespace design & Build

This is where I translate your vision into Squarespace, transforming your ideas into a thoughtful, well-structured website that aligns with your strategy and faithfully reflects your client’s brand identity.

02

Revision rounds & Final delivery

I usually include at least one round of revision in our contract, but we can always add more when needed. Once everything’s approved, you can take it from there, share it with your client, and launch.

  • The timeline depends on the scope and complexity of the project.

If you already have branding and content ready, a simple one-page website can take 1–2 business days, while a 6-page website may take 3–4 business days.

These timelines are meant as a general guide. Each project may require a different approach depending on your workflow and how we collaborate.

Before we begin, we’ll go through your process and timeline to make sure everything fits smoothly with your client work.

  • Just like the timeline, pricing depends on the scope of the project.

As a general guide, a simple one-page website starts from $550, while a 6-page website starts from $950—assuming strategy, branding, and content are already in place.

Final pricing may vary depending on revision rounds, timeline, and how the collaboration is structured.

If you have a project in mind, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss what would work best.

What my clients say

Words from brilliant people I’ve worked with

Her level of experience means that everything comes with a level of polish and practicality that you wouldn't get with a junior designer. She took the design briefs and both delivered what I was looking for while also bringing creative touches that I never would have thought of.

- Melissa, Designer

From your very first email, I was struck by how thoughtful, warm, and intelligent your communication is, and that has been consistent throughout our interactions over the last 9 months (!), both in our explorations and our collaborations.

  • This is for Squarespace designers and agencies who are ready to delegate the design and build, so they can focus on strategy, client experience, and growing their business.

  • No, this is a fully white-label service. I work directly with you, and you remain the main point of contact for your client at all times.

  • Not at all. I work around your systems and workflow. I become an extension of your team, not an interruption.

  • No, they wont, because I build with care and consistency, following your direction every step of the way. Instead of pushing my own design style, I focus on what your client needs. They’ll receive the same level of quality and attention they’d expect from you directly.

  • Ideally, branding and content are already in place. This includes things like copy, images, and overall direction. If you have references or a clear vision, that’s always helpful too.

Branding can be included as part of a larger scope. However, design direction will still come from you, as you understand your client’s business and goals best.

  • Projects typically include at least one round of revisions within an agreed timeline to refine the design. This helps keep the process focused and efficient, while still allowing room to polish the final result.

Depending on how you work with your clients, additional revisions can be included as part of the scope.

  • Timelines vary depending on the scope and how you typically work with your clients. I’m happy to adapt to your workflow, but we’ll always align on expectations and timing before we begin.

  • I accept Visa, MasterCard, Payoneer, ACH Bank Transfer, and PayPal. Depending on the method and platform used, a small transaction or platform fee may apply. I’ll always let you know the details before sending an invoice.
